A Licensed Marriage and
Family Therapist for over 23 years, Judith is
a founder of HEARTWOOD
Mindfulness Practice Center, and has been an
instructor of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
in medical,
mental health, professional, educational and
corporate settings for 15 years.
She trained
professionally with Jon Kabat-Zinn
in 1993 and currently practices and studies
with Thich Nhat Hanh and his monks and nuns in France and the U.S. Judith was ordained in Thich Nhat Hanh's order of Interbeing in June 2006. Currently Judith is offering a two- year training for a group of statewide United Methodist Ministers in Mindfulness, Buddhism, and Christianity (2007 - 2008).
She is the Primary Facilitator of the Blooming Heart Thich Nhat Hanh Sangha, helps facilitate the Universityof Minnesota Minneapolis Campus Mindfulness for Students Club, and is the Instructor for Abbott Northwestern Hospital's Center for Health and Healing Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program.
